As the holiday season approaches, our classrooms are buzzing with excitement and learning. This winter, children will explore two engaging themes, Light and Travel, through our proven curriculum approach that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and social-emotional growth.
Whether your child attends year-round or joins us during a school break only, they will benefit from a learning environment that balances exploration with the comfort and consistency of daily routines.
Our curriculum is built on the belief that children learn best when they are actively engaged in experiences that connect to their interests and the world around them. Through thoughtful planning and intentional teaching, children develop:
Families tell us how delighted they are by the questions their children ask, the connections they make, and the new skills they bring home. These everyday moments offer a glimpse of how classroom learning continues beyond the school day. To support these meaningful experiences, consistency matters, even during the holiday season when schedules are likely to change.
Routine supports learning and confidence. Children thrive when they know what to expect. Familiar daily routines provide a sense of security, so they approach new experiences with confidence. Consistent schedules help children remain engaged, focused, and ready to learn, even during holiday breaks.
Strong relationships foster success. Children learn best when they feel safe, connected, and supported. Maintaining classroom participation during school breaks gives children a chance to continue building relationships that contribute to their confidence, sense of belonging, and overall well-being.
Wonders of Travel
Through maps, stories, dramatic play, and cultural exploration, children will learn about movement, community, and connections between people and places. These experiences encourage curiosity about the world while strengthening communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
Wonders of Light
Children will investigate the fascinating world of light through science, art, literacy, and sensory experiences. As they explore shadows, reflections, colors, and illumination, they will practice observation, prediction, problem-solving, and creative thinking.
Both themes give children playful, practical ways to use skills they’ve been building throughout the year while discovering new ideas and perspectives. Families can continue supporting these learning connections at home with a few simple questions, activities, and shared experiences.

As we reflect on the year so far, we’re proud of the incredible growth children have demonstrated through our Learn as We Grow curriculum. Every investigation, conversation, discovery, and friendship helps children build skills and confidence they can carry into future learning.
By combining meaningful experiences with consistent routines and caring relationships, we create an environment where children can thrive in every season. We look forward to sharing more moments of curiosity, connection, and growth with your family in the months ahead.
